Ravindra Bhavan Baina chairperson Sanjay Satardekar
said there should be free screening of movies showcased during IFFI in Ravindra Bhavan.
"Free screening of showcase movies should be held at Ravindra Bhavan Baina atleast next year," he said.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the news
conference convened to highlight various cultural
and musical programmes which will be organised over three days to commemorate the 4th anniversary celebration of Ravindra Bhavan at Baina.
"We have the infrastructure and the government should make use of it so that people of Vasco can enjoy the free screening. Ravindra Bhavan is also well placed and has a seating capacity of 768 people and hence more people could enjoy the movies," said Satardekar.
"I don't know why it was denied and I don't want to blame anyone. Probably, the organizers overlooked the system available here. I feel atleast next year, maximum people of Vasco should get the great facility available at Ravindra Bhavan for free screenings of IFFI movies," he said.
Ravindra Bhavan will organise a three-day cultural and musical programme, which will begin with
Satyanarayan Pooja on December 12.
Musical programmes, Marathi musical ‘Gani Manatli' and Kishore Kumar nite will be organised along with Gomantak Lokmand Utsav, a presentation of various Goan folk dances.
