Aquem mandal tops Sanguem shigmo parade

Gajanan Yuvak Mandal, Aquem-Margao, won the first place in Shigmo float parade organised at Sanguem on Saturday. Curchorem Shigmotsav Committee won first place in Romtamel competition.

Speaking on the occasion, Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar assured full cooperation and attention from his side for development of Sanguem. Speaking on Shigmotsav floats parade, Madkaikar said locals from Sanguem have retained the customs and cultural festivities of Goa.

Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar thanked the locals for supporting him in the assembly election and assured to work for betterment and unify Sanguem locals. He also said Chief Minister Parrikar, who was supposed to visit Sanguem on Saturday, will visit in near future.

Camurlim wants probe into power cabling project

The Camurlim gram sabha has resolved to ask the panchayat body to knock the doors of the Chief Minister Parrikar and the Vigilance to investigate into the decade-long delay to commission the underground power cabling project.
