Assagao murder: Accused get 3-day police custody

The JMFC court in Mapusa extended the police custody of the two accused in the alleged murder of Allan D’Souza of Assagao by another three days.

Both the accused “ Pramod Khorjuvekar and Shirish Govekar “ have been remanded to police custody for further three days. The body of Allan D’Souza was found near the Baga bridge in mysterious condition on August 25. Police had initially registered the case as an unnatural death.

The father of the deceased, Antonio D’Souza later filed a complaint with the Anjuna Police suspecting foul play in the death of his son.

Based on the complaint the police registered the case as murder. Police first arrested Khorjuvekar and later took Govekar in custody in the case.

Anjuna Police are awaiting the autopsy report to know the exact cause of death.
