The crimes against women like rape, murder, trafficking, foeticide, dowry death, child marriages molestation are being actively pursued. The latest stalking of girls students have led to stabbing, murder, shooting. burning by petrol and disfiguring by acid. These incidents have seen phenomenal increase in many states and cities threatening normal movement and freedom of girls. There is increasing threat and real danger. The police complaints are treated leniently and in casual manner. The culprits are not seriously warned against this menace and have not been placed in preventive custody. The law provides easy bail. Many more innocent lives will be lost by this dangerous infatuation which is often one sided. Religious angle is a potent danger. Those involved in killing must be jailed with no remission. Serious changes in criminal law must nip it in the bud.
