Every Goan will have a unique Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) generated by June this year, the State government has said.

The ABHA or Health ID will be generated for the whole of Goa’s 15-odd lakh population, the State’s Health Secretary, Arun Kumar Mishra, has said.

Mishra also disclosed that 3.85 lakh unique IDs have been generated already.

The ABHA is aimed at maintaining a central database of health-related information of each individual and was launched by the Central government under its digital mission.

The ABHA app can be used for registrations and teleconsultations, and it also allows patients and doctors to scan and upload reports and other medical details.

The ABHA ID can also be self-generated through a simplified process on https://healthid.ndhm.gov.in/

Ahead of the upcoming G-20 summit meetings starting April 17, the authorities organised a two-day health track visit as a part of the government’s plans to showcase the State’s digital health infrastructure and other patient-centric medical advancements and services in Goa.

The state-of-the-art facilities as well as the transformation from offline to online services were showcased to the participants.
