The South Goa Sessions Court has dismissed the application moved by the Public Prosecutor to recall the minor rape victim for re-examination in the minor girl rape case allegedly involving Revenue Minister Atanasio Monserrate.
Sessions Judge Irshad Agha, the special judge appointed by the High Court to try the cases against politicians, dismissed the application filed by Public Prosecutor V G Costa for recall of the victim girl.
Sources said the Public Prosecutor had filed the application seeking recall of the victim for re-examination after she made certain statements during her cross examination by the defence lawyer.
With the Sessions judge dismissing the plea for recall of the victim girl for re-examination, trial in the matter will now resume on October 6.
