Asked if the St Cruz BJP block would extend support to Monserrate as and when such a proposal is put forth, Uskaikar said: “In such a scenario, the block members would first be consulted and only then a decision would be arrived at.”
“But, I do not see such type of development happening at all,” Uskaikar was quick to add.
Meanwhile, Uskaikar condemned the statement of MLA Tony Fernandes for calling Babush his boss and also hit out at Monserrate over plans to contest from St Cruz which did not see any development during his rule of five years.
“Now, he dreams of contesting from here again just to be in power. Monserrate is trying to take people for a ride and the people of St Cruz will teach him a befitting lesson,” Uskaikar added.
