A 32-year-old conductor of a Bal Rath school bus has been booked on charges of allegedly molesting several minor girl students.
The alleged incidents reportedly took place within the jurisdiction of Verna police station. The accused is suspected of having inappropriately touched the students over a period of several years. The victims are reportedly studying between the fifth and seventh standards.
The matter came to light during counselling sessions conducted at the school, where some students reportedly disclosed their experiences to the counsellor.
Following the revelations, the matter was brought to the notice of the school authorities, who subsequently lodged a police complaint against the conductor. Police have registered an offence against the accused and initiated an investigation into the matter.
