Bands to compete at Curchorem

CURCHOREM: A battle of the bands event, 'Infusion 2K 16' will be organised at Ravindra Bhavan Curchorem on January 31.

Ravindra Bhavan Curchorem in association with Swargandha Social, Cultural and Musical Association, Pontemol-Curchorem, will organise the event, where musical bands from Goa will compete with each other for the title.

The event is supported by a leading musical instruments shop in Goa 'Furtado's' and Radio Partner Big FM 92.7. Auditions for the competition will be held on January 16 and 17, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Power shutdownMAPUSA: The electricity department has arranged a power shutdown on January 12, from 10 am to 12.30 pm to carry out urgent maintenance work on the Duler feeder. The following areas will be affected on account of the shutdown: Severina Garden, Millrock, Blue Diamond, Galaxy Hospital, Andrew Felicidade hall and nearby areas.
