No-trust move at Verem-Vagurme

PONDA: Four Verem-Vagurme panchas have moved a no-confidence motion against Sarpanch Vinay Naik on Monday.

The signatories to the no-confidence motion notice are Minu Gaude, Swati Palkar, Satyawan Palkar and Vaishali Naik in the seven-member panchayat. The four panchas alleged that the sarpanch failed to take them into confidence while launching developmental works and not taking resolutions which are discussed in the meeting.

They also alleged that the sarpanch was misusing the panchayat funds. “He is promoting illegal activities in the panchayat area,” stated the notice submitted to Block Development Officer at Ponda.
