Bangalore man complains of assault

A native of Bangalore has accused some persons of assaulting and robbing him of his cash, gold chain and other items, worth Rs 1.50 lakh at Baga.

According to Calangute Police, Naveen Oliver from Bangalore, but presently staying at Anjuna, complained that about 43 unidentified persons armed with choppers, cycle chains, iron rods and bamboo sticks formed an unlawful assembly at Baga.

The complainant further stated that three accused persons assaulted him with kicks, blows and beer bottles, causing grievous injuries, and stole a gold chain with a pendant of cross with diamond, wallet containing cash of Rs 15,000, two debit cards and one credit, all worth Rs 1.50 lakh. Police is investigating the case.
