The PWD has informed that Bardez taluka will get restricted water supply on February 27 due to the partial shutdown of the 12 MLD water treatment plant in Assonora.
The department is carrying out crucial repair work at the water treatment plant and therefore water supply will be restricted.
“Due to partial shutdown of 12 MLD water treatment plant in Assonora for installation and repair work, there will be restricted water supply to Bardez taluka on February 27,” the Executive Engineer, PWD (water) said in a press note.
The shutdown is not likely to cause much of a problem as the Assonora water treatment plant produces around 110 MLD of water per day.
