Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha has directed authorities to be vigilant while issuing permissions for construction activity in the MES area of Sancoale.
In a press release, Saldanha said the MES area in Sancoale could face hardships regarding essential amenities, as construction licenses are being issued without ascertaining whether basic infrastructure for essential needs is in place before issuing occupancy, and requested the concerned authorities to be more vigilant.
"I impressed upon PWD engineers that water is a necessity and not a luxury and hence, the local authorities like the Panchayat, TCP/MPDA should ensure that infrastructure for basic amenities like water, power and roads is in place before issuing construction license/occupancy to the builders," stated Saldanha.
