Noted Cardiac Surgeon Dr MD Dixit and team from Arihant Hospital here have performed a complicated lifesaving surgery on a 2-year-old boy from Iraq.
The boy from Iraq was diagnosed with heart disease and was advised surgery in Iraq. The boy’s father chose India over Turkey for the heart surgery and after a tele-consultation with Dr Dixit, the parents decided to visit Belagavi for surgery.
The parents along with their child, Gaith, reached Arihant hospital on October 6 and the child underwent an open heart for VSD repair on October 8. The child has recovered and is being discharged on Friday.
The parents expressed happiness on the kind of treatment and hospitalisation they received.
