Chain snatching has come back to haunt Margao police once again. A 50-year-old woman from Gogol-Margao was robbed of her mangalsutra by motorcycle-borne miscreants near Babu Naik’s house at Aquem on Thursday noon.
Margao police informed that the incident occurred around 3.30 pm when the victim Nita Gaonkar was walking on the road near the house of Babu Naik when the two motorcycle-borne miscreants arrived from the wrong side and snatched her mangalsutra before speeding away from the spot. The duo had covered their faces with masks.
The victim has lodged a complaint with the Margao police. Investigations are on.
