The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa Unit on Wednesday held a protest near the Congress House in Panaji, accusing the Congress of attempting to foment unrest in the State through ‘sponsored anarchy’ and ‘manufactured chaos’.
Led by State BJP president Damu Naik, the demonstration saw the participation of several ministers, BJP MLAs and a large number of party workers, who assembled near the Congress office and raised slogans against the opposition.
Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders alleged that the Congress was deliberately creating controversies and misleading the public through politically motivated campaigns instead of playing a constructive role as the opposition. They claimed the party was trying to create instability for political gains.
Naik accused the Congress of resorting to negative politics by attempting to manufacture chaos in the State. He said the BJP would continue to expose what it called the opposition's efforts to disturb peace and would remain focused on ensuring stability, governance and development in Goa.
