As the Lotus bloomed in Delhi after the rout of Aam Aadmi Party in the elections for the Delhi Legislative Assembly, BJP leaders and workers celebrated the historic victory by taking out a rally at the South Goa party office on Saturday evening.
Congress-turned-BJP Margao MLA and former Congress Chief Minister Digambar Kamat has termed the BJP victory in Delhi as a historic victory and gave credit for the party rank and file for their decades-old struggle. “The BJP has been in the opposition for a long time, but the party workers slogged on the ground to bring the party to power. Everyone should emulate the hard work put in by the BJP workers in Delhi”, he said.
Saying that the people of Delhi have accepted the work carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that return of BJP in Delhi will develop the national capital to world standards.
Margao Municipal Chairperson Damu Shirodkar, Municipal Councillors, Margao BJP Mandal Chief Abhishek Kakodkar, Fatorda Mandal Chief Shweta Lotlikar, besides party workers participating in the rally cum celebrations.
Meanwhile, BJP ST leader Anthony Barbosa has hailed the historic victory of the BJP in the Delhi Assembly election. He said AAP leader Arvind Kejrival had boasted of providing freebies to the citizens of Delhi, but the people of Delhi have voted wisely and decisively to free the national capital of the Aam Admi party. Barbosa congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, besides Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for BJP’s historic victory in Delhi.
