Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs staged a protest at Azad Maidan, Panaji on Thursday against the disruption of the Budget Session of Parliament by the Opposition parties.
Lok Sabha MP Narendra Sawaikar and Shripad Naik alongwith Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar observed a day-long fast thus joinning Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP parliamentarians' protest against the continuous disruption that led to the complete washout of the second leg of the session.
Other BJP MLAs and office bearers of the state unit of the party like Pandurang Madkaikar, Vishwajit Rane, Laxmikant Parsekar, Dilip Parulekar, Rajendra Arlekar, Siddharth Kuncalienkar, Francis D’Souza, Alina Saldanha, Damu Naik, Kiran Kandolkar joined the protest and fasting along with the three MPs at Azad Maidan.
