The ruling BJP refused to react to the explosive comments by senior BJP leader and Mapusa MLA Francisco Souza citing a bemusing reason that, the comments were "not made at a press conference."
Goa BJP's General Secretary, Sadanand Shet Tanavade told The Goan, that there was no reason for the party to react.
"Why should I comment? There is no comment to offer. About what he said about the CM, you ask the CM. I am not his spokesperson," party's General Secretary Sadanand Shet Tanavade said.
Francisco Souza, who has been out of the country but returned only earlier this week has spoken his mind on a wide range of issues especially in the light of the BJP being perceived to be treating him badly and seeking to ‘encroach' upon his constituency especially during his extended absence.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar made several visits to the constituency interacted with the local councillors as well as promised funding for several projects in the city and improvements in infrastructure.
On Thursday in a telephonic interview to The Goan, senior BJP leader and Urban Development Minister Francisco D'Souza said a few BJP leaders did not like him and his religion. He further said the chief minister after coming down from Delhi (after his stint as the country's defence minister) had become very aggressive, while also indicating that there was a "use and throw policy" in the BJP.
