Cautioning Goans to remain alert against BJP’s evil designs, Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward Party mentor Vijay Sardessai said the saffron party would try to win the ensuing assembly elections by hook or crook.
He also said that Goans will have to remain united to defeat the evil forces which, if given absolute majority, would destroy Goa further.
“With demonetization of the currency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has labeled us all Goans as robbers. I am sure if a survey is conducted today, around 90 percent of Goans will say we don't want BJP again,” Sardessai said.
The GF mentor was speaking at the party’s public meeting at Verla-Canca in Siolim constituency. Goa Forward’s Siolim and Saligao candidates, Vinod Palyekar and Jayesh Salgoankar respectively, party spokesman, Durgadas Kamat, and other leaders were also present.
Hitting out at Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for calling him (Vijay Sardessai) a dalal at the Vijay Sankalp Rally in Fatorda on Saturday, Sardessai returned the compliment by calling Parrikar the main dalal for selling Goa and Goemkarponn.
“Who is the dalal who brought two new casinos to Goa? Who is the dalal who brought drugs and rave parties in Goa? Who is the dalal to drop the mundkarial legislation and insult the bahujan samaj in the State,” asked Sardessai, indirectly pointing fingers to Parrikar and BJP.
He further said that he stood by his statement that no party should be given a majority and challenged Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar for a debate on the issue.
“The demon of demonetization released in the country is the live example why full majority should not be given to any party,” he rationalized.
Turning his attention to Siolim constituency, Sardesai alleged: “There is open license for drugs and rave parties in the coastal belt of Anjuna and Vagator under the patronage of your local MLA." He exhorted the gathering that it was time to send him home.
Earlier Vinod Palyekar, Jayesh Salgaonkar, Milton Marques, Prakash Bandodkar, Monica Dias and others also spoke.
