Says official campaigning for LS polls begins from Mormugao

Goa CM Dr Pramod Sawant on Sunday said that he was confident that the BjP would win the South Goa seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with a lead of around 60,000 votes.
Sawant was addressing a large gathering of the people at Baina during a public meeting in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanavade, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar, Former South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, Former Fatorda MLA Damu Naik, Mormugao Municipal Council Chairperson Girish Borker and others.
Sawant earlier inaugurated the Baina outpost at the Baina beach in the presence of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh, Mormugao PI Alvito Rodrigues, Vasco PI Kapil Nayak and others.
"Inauguration of the Baina outpost was obviously a function that I attended but the actual reason to arrive here is to connect with the voters of Mormugao constituency. I am extremely happy to see such a large number of people attending the public meeting and I want to declare that the official canvassing for the Lok Sabha elections begins from Mormugao constituency. I am happy with the functioning of Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar and I want to assure the people that I will take up all the development works that has been proposed by Amonkar for the betterment of the constituency. I am confident that with such large suport of the people , BJP will surely win the South Goa seat in the Lok Sabha Elections by a margin of over 60,000 votes " said Sawant.
Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanavade and Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar also spoke on the occasion.
