Body of missing Aldona youth found in river

The body of the Aldona youth who went missing two days ago was found in Corjuem river on Friday morning.

Mapusa Police took possession of the body and sent it to the GMC for post-mortem.

Locals who first noticed the body floating near the Bhagwati Temple at Aldona alerted the police.The body was identified as that of Sagar Maldar (25),

who was missing since Wednesday noon. The youth’s motorcycle along with a helmet and a pair of slippers which were found abandoned near the Corjuem bridge

sparking rumours that he had committed suicide.
