Book of Konkani poems released
MARGAO: Penned by Chandrakala S Rane also known as Reena Ramesh Naik, 'Urba' ÂÂÂ a
book of Konkani poems, was released by Konkani litterateur Mahabaleshwar Sail on July 8, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. Sail, who was the chief guest, claimed that Reena tells something through her poems. Sail said the book contains poems on wide ranging topics such as environment, children and philosophy. “It also contains aarati and bhajan,” he added. Lauding the book, Sail said the poetess has made effective use of nature in her poems.
Ravindra Bhavan chairman, Damodar Naik was the guest of honour, termed women as the strength of any society. “Women have the power to change the world,” he quipped.
Senior Manager of Prudent Media, Pradeep Padgaonkar, urged the poetess to use more of her experience in the academic field in her writings.
Earlier, publisher of the book Anwesha Singbal welcomed while Pooja Dessai proposed the vote of thanks.
