VASCO:
A bucket mounted crane of the electricity department was launched at Sada-Vasco on Monday, to attend to all issues such as street lights and tree-cutting in Mormugao constituency.
Speaking to reporters after launching the vehicle, Mormugao MLA Sankalp Amonkar said there was only one crane serving the entire Mormugao taluka.
"This crane used to serve the entire Mormugao taluka and it was available to Mormugao constituency only for one day in a week, causing a lot of issues because the electricity department could not cater to complaints of people on time,” said Amonkar.
“Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Power Minister Sudin Dhavlikar have purchased these cranes for every sub division of the electricity department.”
“This bucket mounted crane will now attend to street lights, tree cutting and other major issues in Mormugao constituency," Amonkar added.
