A Goa-registered car got stuck up in the sand at Benaulim on Thursday, throwing up questions whether the car tried to make its way onto the beach.
A vehicle was pressed into service to tow the car before the photo of the car went viral.
Colva police informed that the owner of the car has been called for an inquiry into the episode to find out how the car got stuck up in the sand.
Police said appropriate action will be initiated in the matter.
