Case against GCA secy, officer over auditor’s complaint

Porvorim police registered a case against Goa Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Tulsidas Shetye and officer Harish Shinde on charges of using criminal force, intimidation and obstructing the work of the GCA auditor while he was performing official duties.
The auditor, identified as Nair, filed a police complaint stating that the incident took place at the GCA office in Porvorim on August 26, and the Porvorim police registered the case on Monday.
According to police, the complainant was appointed by the government to audit documents of the GCA. While doing the work, the complainant alleged that Shetye and Shinde "used criminal force and forced him to sign a document". The complainant also alleged that the two accused unlawfully detained him, abused and threatened him while he was performing a statutory audit. 
The police have registered a case and further investigation is being conducted by police sub-inspector Arun Shirodkar.
