An IndiGo flight carrying about 220 passengers from Goa to Delhi returned safely to Manohar International Airport at Mopa after experiencing a technical fault in its engine just a few minutes after take-off.
According to reports, the IndiGo flight 6E 2102 had taken off from Manohar International Airport in Mopa at about 9.20 am and shortly after takeoff, the pilots noticed a technical fault in the engine.
The pilots then decided to divert the flight back to Mopa, and emergency protocols were activated at Manohar International Airport. The plane landed safely, and alternative arrangements were made for the passengers.
According to an IndiGo spokesperson, “a technical issue was detected shortly after takeoff on IndiGo flight 6E 2102 operating from North Goa to Delhi.”
“Following the standard operating procedure, the relevant authorities were informed, and the pilots turned back and landed the aircraft safely at Manohar International Airport. The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will resume operations after securing all necessary clearances.”
