Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) Chairperson Dr Jasmine Braganza has said the State government has sanctioned Rs 56 lakh to each councillor at the CCMC to undertake development activities in their respective wards.
She was addressing a gathering after PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the existing CCMC public garden in her ward at Carriamoddi-Curchorem, which was renovated and installed with latest gymnasium equipment for public use at an estimated cost of Rs 14 lakh.
Braganza appealed to the people to be health conscious and to make maximum use of the equipment provided to them in the garden.
Later speaking as the chief guest, Cabral said the sewerage and underground cabling work, including the laying of water pipeline on both the sides of the road, is almost complete and after that, no more digging of roads will be done.
“The remaining overhead electricity wires will be removed very soon,” said Cabral, while assuring to complete all ongoing projects within two years.
