Shareholders of the Chicolna Communidade suspected foul play over the delay in razing down the alleged illegal structures on the Communidade land.
A delegation of shareholders on Monday called on the South Goa Administrator of Communidades to find out the reasons for the delay in initiating action. They further pointed out that frequent transfers of the South Goa Administrators of Communidades have also come in the way of the demolition of the illegal structures “We do not know whether the Administrators of South Goa Communidades are frequently transferred just to save the structures. For, every time a new Communidade Administrator is appointed, he takes time to study the matter”, they said.
They have threatened to file a contempt petition in the High Court saying that directions issued by the High Court to raze down the structures have not been implemented till date.
