As part of the on-going Van Mahotsava celebrations organised by the Goa Forest Department, the World MalayaleeCouncil (WMC) - Goa Province joined the initiative at the Biodiversity Park, Mollem, on July 5.
On this occasion, ably assisted by the forest officials, each member of WMC- Goa, planted saplings in the campus of the Biodiversity Park.
The visitors were also given a tour of the park with a departmental guide explaining various features existing in the unique nature delight. The nature trail which passes through all sections of the park provided ample opportunity for visitors to appreciate nature in its magnificence.
The function concluded with the Deputy Conservator of Forests (North Goa Division, Ponda), Jiss K Varkey, IFS, presenting a memento to the President of WMC, Goa Province, Jacob Mathews.
