The GHRC on Thursday adjourned to April 27 further hearing of the petition filed by Adv Aires Rodrigues for Bismarque’s final rites.
The Collector, in his reply, has stated that the Tiswadi BDO was directed to arrange the final rites by April 15 and to liaise with the Parish Priest of St Estevam with the assistance of the local panchayat.
However, the priest conveyed to Sarpanch that as per church rules NOC is required from family and without it the funeral cannot be conducted.
