CISF constables allegedly slap airport official

In yet another incident involving a security agency in Mormugao taluka, the Dabolim airport registered a non-cognizable offence against two CISF constables on charges of assaulting a Dabolim airport official in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to the sources in the airport, two CISF constables on Thursday allegedly slapped Airports Authority of India executive Ranjit Verma at about 1 am.   
“An argument had broken out between Verma and the CISF constables over the misuse of washroom inside the airport and in the ensuing argument the CISF constables allegedly slapped Verma,” the source said. While a non-cognizable offence was registered against CISF staff, the Dabolim police and the investigating officer PSI Jatin Potdar were reluctant to disclose details abd names of the constables.  PI Kapil Nayak, who is holding additional charge of Dabolim PS, also tried to downplay the issue.

Speeding and overtaking bus rams truck, students injured

Eight passengers, including a couple of students, answering HSSC exam were injured after the bus in which they were travelling to Margao from Cuncolim, met with an accident after the driver tried to overtake a lorry on the NH-17 at Dandeavaddo.
