Mandrem Police booked an unknown person for violation of the election code of conduct.
Police said the accused was trying to induce voters to carry pamphlets and badges of a regional political party without permission.
According to police, the incident took place at Morjim panchayat on March 21 at 12.20 pm.
In this connection, Vivek Kumar Sharma, flying squad head for AC Mandrem, lodged a complaint stating that an unknown person was trying to induce voters to carry with them pamphlets and badges of a regional political party without permission from authorities.
The accused has violated terms and conditions of the election code of conduct.
In this connection, an offence has been registered under Section 188 read with 34 of Indian penal code against the unknown person and police is investigating the case.
