Commercial tax office at Ponda

PONDA: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday inaugurated an office of commercial tax at Kotwada-Ponda.

“My government has tried to provide the best of facilities to the public. We have set up the necessary infrastructure in this office, which will offer good services to the public,” Parsekar said.

Industries Minister Mahadev Naik, GSIDC chairman and Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant, Panaji MLA Siddharth Kuncolienkar, Ponda Municipal Council Chairperson Dr Radhika Nayak, councillors and others were present on the occasion.

The office is about 450 sqmts and includes a cabin for assistant commissioner of commercial taxes, cabins for tax officers, clerical section, conference room and other facilities. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1.91 crore.
