The Congress party has filed a complaint regarding alleged sting operation before Chief Electoral Officer.
The Congress has alleged that the video has been doctored with an intention to malign image of its three candidates.
Congress has named Delhi based news channel Hindi Khabar in its complaint.
"We will not rest until those who violated the law to defame the three Congress candidates and the Congress party are held accountable", said Sunil Kawathankar, General Secretary of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.
EC action
The Chief Election officer Kunal on Sunday meanwhile informed that the Election Commission has initiated action regarding sting operation and video matter.
"District Collector office North has been directed to take proper legal action in ‘sting operation’ video matter", said CEO Kunal.
He said that proper action will be taken under Section 126 of representation of people act.
CEO office had taken steps to remove the video from Youtube and other social media sites.
