The Congress party will organise a public rally and public meeting in Quepem on Friday to garner support and to mobilise the local people against the failures of BJP government.
Opposition leader Pratapsing Rane, Congress State President Luizinho Faleiro and All India Youth Congress leader Amrinder Singh Raja Brar will be present at the meeting.
Addressing a news conference at Quepem, Quepem MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar said the public rally will start from Margao Congress party office and will proceed to Quepem Municipal garden with jeeps and motorcycles participating in the rally.
“About 4,000 Congress members and supporters are expected to take part in the rally. We will be welcoming All India Youth Congress leader, Amrinder Singh Raja Brar, at Shri Chandreshwar Bhootnath Temple Dwar at Paroda. Brar along with other senior Congressmen will address the meeting,” informed Kavlekar.
Goa Youth Congress leader, Xavier Fialho, said from Friday Congress party's agitation will start against the failures of the BJP government.
“The interaction of Amrinder Singh Raja Brar will encourage Congress members, especially the youth of Goa. We will raise issues and question every single 'U-turn' made by the BJP government over various important issues,” said Fialho.
Councillor Dayesh Naik, Quepem block Congress leader Ganapat Modak, All India Youth Congress secretary Sandeep Valmiki and others were present for the news conference.
