PANAJI: Deputy Chief Minister Francisco D'Souza held a meeting in order to initiate measures to deal effectively with treatment and prevent spread of Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) also known as monkey fever in Sattari, where it was decided toset up a control room in the office of the mamlatdar of Sattari which will remain open 24X7.

Anyone with information on the death of a monkey within Sattari taluka or any person wanting to pass any information about infection of monkey disease (KFD) may contact landline 0832-2374090 or Mobile No 9763524283 or 9923650657, so that the monkey carcass can be disposed off through proper procedure and the patient of monkey fever (KFD) can be provided proper medical support.
