Cops arrest 4 Andhra natives in IPL betting racket

Calangute Police busted yet another IPL cricket betting racket and arrested four persons all from Andhra Pradesh in a hotel in Candolim.

Police seized cash of Rs 15, 785, 32 mobile phones, a mobile conference box, two laptops all amounting to Rs 5,00,000 in the raid conducted late Monday night.

“The accused were involved in IPL betting during the cricket match played between Kolkata Night Riders and Royal Challengers Bengalaru,” a senior police official informed.

This is the fourth IPL betting case registered at Calangute police station within a month.
