The men-in-uniform are back on the roads with megaphones, appealing to the people to observe Covid-safety norms such as social distancing and wear masks at public places.
Personnel of the Margao and Fatorda police stations also went around issuing challans to those moving around without the mandatory face masks.
While the Margao police had booked around 100 cases for violating the face masks norms, another 100 were booked on Tuesday in and around the markets.
While Margao PI Sachin Narvekar and his teams fanned out to the market places, Fatorda PI Kapil Nayak and his team descended on the SGPDA market, the KTC bus stand and other public places to spread awareness.
