The booth presidents of Cortalim Block BJP recently convened a meeting to chalk out their strategy for the forthcoming assembly elections in 2017.

The Mandal Committee and the booth presidents took a vow to focus their attention and energy to ensure that Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha is re-elected to continue the good work that she has been doing in the constituency for the last four years.

They said that the development that Cortalim constituency during this tenure of the BJP government had not happened for the last 20 years and they congratulated Saldanha for her commitment and responsibility as the MLA.

Cortalim Block President Joel Fernandes stated that Goa needed clean and hardworking candidates to bring the State along the path of development and progress and added that Saldanha is definitely the candidate.

In her address, Saldanha said she would be at peace only when some of the major works in the constituency, such as the Cansaulim PHC, Cortalim market, Cansaulim-Verna road and the Zuarinagar Market Complex, which figured prominently in late Matanhy Saldanha’s manifesto, became a reality.

She assured the constituents that she is working hard in that direction. The BJP block and the booth presidents took a pledge to support Saldanha every step of the way.

“The mandal is united and will work hard to ensure Saldanha's victory at the next assembly polls,” Naik told The Goan.
