While Covid cases have been steadily on the rise, the Cortalim Primary Health Centre led by Dr Socorro Quadros has stepping up testing facilities and administering vaccination to those eligible people.
When contacted, Dr Quadros said on Monday, the Cortalim PHC vaccinated 349 people, including 151 people during the 'Tika Utsav' campaign at Chicalim Panchayat.
“The PHC jurisdiction includes the villages of Chicalim, Dabolim, Bogmalo, Sancoale, Quelossim and Cortalim. As of now, we are getting more cases from Sancoale and Chicalim and we have around 90 active cases in Chicalim," said Dr Quadros.
Meanwhile, the number of active Covid cases in Mormugao Taluka stood at 631 on Monday, consisting of cases recorded by the Vasco Urban Health Centre (227), Cortalim Primary Health Centre (274) and Cansaulim Primary Health Centre (130).
