Cotigao man sets self ablaze, dies
CANACONA: An 80-year-old man from Cotigao-Canacona died, after he allegedly set himself on fire on Monday afternoon.
According to Canacona Police, Dhoulo Ram Gaonkar from Mhalbardem-Cotigao burnt himself and died after sustaining over 80 per cent burn injuries.
Sources informed that the man took the extreme step over some domestic differences in the family.
Canacona Police is investigating the case, while the body was sent to Hospicio in Margao for post-mortem.
