Covid patients fed nutritious drink under Poshan Maah

The South Goa district hospital celebrated Poshan Maah, an initiative of the Directorate of Health Services, by

providing nutritious drinks to Covid patients housed in the hospital.

Hospicio Medical Superintendent, Dr Deepa Correia Afonso, informed that all the 115 Covid patients were served with the nutritious drink according to their blood glucose profile.

“The Poshan Maah is an initiative of the DHS celebrated in the South district hospital,” she added.

Besides Dr Deepa, Dr Rajesh Patil Nodal officer SGDCH, and Dr Viraj Manerikar the programme co-ordinator educated the staff and highlighted the fact that optimum nutrition is equally essential in building a healthy immunity to fight Covid infection.
