In an attempt to relieve the stress on students, parents and teachers of the continuous online classes, Hedgewar High School in Cujira, has declared Sunday as ‘no-screen day’, to keep away students, parents and teachers from gadgets for one-day in a week.
The school has asked students to stay away from mobile, computer or even television on Sunday, to relax their eyes and body, which are getting stressed up due to continuous online classes.
The students are attending a minimum of 2 hours a day online classes. The number of hours is even more for class IX and X standard students.
Also, the offline material is also provided to the students through WhatsApp which students see at other times.
Also, students have to do homework and other studies on the laptop or the mobile. Along with students, the parents were also busy with the online work.
This is the reason the ‘no-screen day’ has been declared not only for students but also for parents.
“No-screen day is not only applicable for students but for parents and teachers too,” said the headmaster of the school, Vilas Satarkar.
The teachers are also busy on mobile preparing videos, correcting papers, setting papers etc, so this day will benefit the teachers.
