This box has been lying on the Margao Municipal Council building pavement since last week, but neither the civic body nor the authorities concerned have deemed proper to lift it away if it’s of no use.
Motorcycle taxi pilots pointed out that the electrical box has been lying unattended on the MMC building pavement for several days. They said the box has no live electrical wires and hence does not pose any danger to the public. They, however, demanded to know whether it is not the duty of the department to lift the same away.
“Some officials had come last week and inspected the box. We all believed that the box will finally be lifted away, but in vain,” a pilot said.
Incidentally, the Margao municipality seem to have not taken any initiative to lift away the box or write to the department concerned to do the needful.
