South Western Railways (SWR) has advised passengers entering Goa to carry a Covid negative certificate as the State government has issued a fresh travel advisory for rail passengers to prevent the spread of Covid“19.
According to the travel advisory, the SWR has been directed that no passenger is permitted entry into Goa-bound trains and in the State unless they possess a Covid negative certificate within 72 hrs from the time seek entry into the State.
Inter-state movement for tourists from May 10 onwards has been prohibited except for people who are residents of Goa or are entering Goa for work, or who have with them RT- PCR negative report of a test done within 72 hours of entry in Goa or full (2 doses) vaccination certificate.
The SWR has appealed to all passengers to adhere strictly to Covid-19 norms of the Goa government and also wear a mask, sanitise hands frequently and maintain social distancing.
