Cowshed burns down in Sattari
VALPOI: A cowshed caught fire at Bhrama-Karmali, Sattari, on Thursday morning, causing damages of about Rs 1 lakh to the owner.
According to Valpoi fire officer Laxman Majeek, the incident occurred at about 11.30 am and the damages are estimated at about Rs 1 lakh to the shed owner, Deepak Dhuri.
He further informed that animals were not present in the shed at the time of the incident.
Fire officials Mahesh Naik, PV Kamble, Vinayak Havlekar, Dhoni Tate, Gaurish Gawas and Purab Malunkar rushed to the spot and saved property worth Rs 2 lakh. The cause of fire was not known and investigations are underway.
