Saying he is seized of matter of the NUSI hospital lying defunct at Panzorconne-Cuncolim for a long time, NUSI General secretary Milind Kandalgaonkar has said the matter is sub-judice since arbitration proceedings are presently underway before an Arbitrator.
He, however, said NUSI will take the seafarers into confidence before taking a decision how to go about utilizing the prime hospital after curtains come down on the arbitration.
When asked to shed light on the NUSI hospital lying idle at Cuncolim, Milind said the matter is subjudice since Wokhardt has filed arbitration proceedings against NUSI before an Administrator.
“We are confident that the arbitration will go in our favour. Once curtains come down on the arbitration proceedings, NUSI will take the seafarers into confidence about how to utilize the hospital building and the property for the benefit of the seafaring community”, he added.
