The formalin scare came back to haunt again after traditional fishermen claimed that fish laced with formalin continues to arrive in the state.
Traditional fisherman Vinay Tari told the media at the wholesale fish market that he do not think that fish laced with formalin has stopped coming into the state.
“We have to understand that fish comes to Goa from across the country, right from Bengal and from the east coast, where availability of water is still a big issue”, he said, adding “in such circumstances, we have been left to wonder how fish is transported to Goa with refrigeration faciltiies”.
