Stating that the DefExpo infrastructure work is going on at fast pace, Pavillions and Interiors Pvt Ltd Director N Biju said one-third of the work to set up the infrastructure has been completed, with the remaining work to be completed within two weeks.
Providing details of the infrastructure, Biju told The Goan that there are 10 exhibition hangers in total area of 66,000 sq mtrs. “There are outdoor structures, where the exhibitors will discuss business deals,” informed Biju.
“Outdoor exhibition area is where heavy equipment like military tanks, artillery guns, etc, will be kept on display, while at live demo area, manufacturers of weapons will showcase functioning of their equipment,” he added.
“About one third of the work to set up makeshift infrastructure has been completed and the remaining two-thirds will be completed within two weeks, that is, by March 25.”
Asked about safety and other facilities at the site, Biju replied, “There will be food courts, two first aid centres, control rooms for police and quick response teams, medical officers, registration and ticket counters will be accessible.”
“We will also have offices, complex, media centre with full internet connectivity with computer system, so that media can file reports and get internet access immediately.”
“Briefing rooms, conference hall will be also kept at disposal for media and other delegates participating in the DefExpo,” he added.
